We just returned from the Atlanta Gift Show and as always, it was wonderful to see so many of our friends and customers. Getting out of the studio infuses us with energy and enthusiasm. We get to talk design and show our clients all the different ways our pieces create a unique and exquisite home decor style. Our eyes and ears are wide open at these gift shows because you can really get the pulse of what's coming and going in home decor trends. It helps inform our design inspiration to know what the consumers are excited about. There was a very clear moving away from rustic farmhouse and industrial styles that have dominated shows in years past. Here's what we found our customers are loving now in home accent designs: 1. Metallics are hot Still! The passion for metallics hasn't waned at all. Customers want shiny beautiful bling around the home and the most popular color continues to be gold. Whether it's a beautifully designed tablescape, place settings for a special dinner party, or accent pieces in your living room, we have you covered here. 2. Artisan handcrafted pieces made in America. Everyone loves a story behind a piece. They want to know who the designer is and how the piece was made because it feels more personal to them and their home becomes distinctively curated. Supporting artists local to the US is a plus. Here's a look into artisan handcrafting that happens everyday with the Childs Studio gilding process. 3. Color for Spring Customers like to change their color palettes around the holidays and the seasons, and Spring always brings requests for GREEN. It's fresh and bright and goes beautifully with the fresh flowers abundant in those months. We feature two popular green-colored metallics, Moss and Variegated Green, shown here on our 6-inch Bubble Glass Bowl. We'd love to hear from you on your favorite Spring home accent trend! Let us know in the comments or shoot us an email. As always, we make every piece custom-to-order so if you don't see a piece in a color or pattern you want, just ask us!
